The literature consistently demonstrated that surgery post-traumatic syringomyelia is effective at arresting or improving motor deterioration, but not sensory dysfunction or pain syndromes. WebTechnically, this refers to a tube where the lowest resonant frequency of a vibrating object (i.e. the syrinx) is four times longer than the length of the tube. A shorter tube would be less efficient; a longer tube would cause wave-form skewing.
