WebSep 20, 2024 · Use fnm, not nvm. It's faster. TLDR: fnm is a faster alternative to nvm when it comes to initialising new shell. It isn’t quite as fully featured but it’s worth it IMO. Like many developers, I more-or-less follow the instructions for installing nvm when I set up a new system, in order to be able to switch versions of node quickly.
